Total weight is 44.09 lbs (20 kg), about 30 lbs lighter than a standard aluminum chair. Remove the 12Ah lithium battery before lifting; it weighs 13.23 lbs (6 kg) and detaches with one release lever. The frame alone is approximately 31 lbs (14 kg), so most adults and many smaller-framed caregivers can lift it into a car trunk without assistance.

The hybrid frame balances weight, durability, and price. Pure aluminum is proven and durable but typically much heavier. Pure carbon fiber can be extremely light but costs more to manufacture. Flex Travel uses carbon-fiber tubes for the main structural load and aluminum joints at folding and locking stress points, delivering a 44 lb chair at $1,999. Electromagnetic brakes stop and hold the chair when the joystick is released. For regularly climbing steep hills, consider a higher-powered model.
