Living with MS for 9 years — but I refuse to stop travelling. Took the632D Electric Fold & Reclineon a 12-day caravan trip down the Great Ocean Road.Electric foldat every viewpoint (Apollo Bay, Twelve Apostles),electric reclinewhen MS fatigue hit,350W motorup the Lorne hills,13-mile rangethrough every town. My wife didn't wrestle a chair once. The trip I thought my condition had taken from me — I got it back.

My 68-year-old mom stopped coming to family dinners because she didn't want to be a burden. I got her the632A Basic at $999— the61-lb aluminum framefits in my RAV4, the joystick took her two minutes to learn, and the13-mile rangegets us through a full day out. Last Sunday she rolled right up to the dining table. We both cried.

Three back surgeries, and sitting upright for longer than 40 minutes sends pain down my leg. The632B's electric reclinelets me tilt back with a button — no carer, no lever, just relief. The350W motorhandles the hills around Manchester, folded at28"×30"×16"it fits in my Vauxhall Astra. I waited 14 months on the NHS list. Bought this in a week. Best decision.

My husband had a stroke — he can't fold a chair or lift anything. Before the632C Electric Fold, I was begging strangers in Calgary parking lots to help me load his wheelchair in minus-20 weather. Now I press a button, the frame folds itself in ~ 10 seconds, I pop out the battery and slide the61-lb frameinto our CR-V. One person. No tears. The35.6" turning radiusnavigates narrow clinic hallways, the24Ah batterylasts all day. If you're a solo carer — the electric fold changes everything.
FAQ
Which model is right for me?
Pick 632A - if you want a reliable folding wheelchair at the best price and don't need powered extras.
Pick 632B - if you have back conditions, fatigue, or need to tilt back for medical reasons throughout the day.
Pick 632C - if you're a solo carer or user who loads the chair into a vehicle alone — the electric fold saves you the physical strain.
Pick 632D - if you travel frequently or spend long days out and want both folding convenience and on-demand recline.
Is the battery removable? Can I charge it separately?
Yes. The24Ah lithium battery weighs 9.48 lbsand detaches from the frame. You can charge it on the chair or remove it and charge it indoors. This also helps if you live in an apartment — charge the battery inside while the frame stays in the car.
Can the battery be taken on an airplane?
The 24Ah lithium battery typically exceeds the 100Wh limit for most airline cabin regulations. We recommend contacting your specific airlinebefore travel. Many carriers allow mobility device batteries as checked cargo with advance notice. The chair itself folds to 28"×30"×16" and will fit in most car trunks and SUV cargo areas.
Is it hard to use? Can an elderly person operate it?
The joystick controller is designed for one-handed, intuitive operation — push forward to go, pull back to reverse, tilt sideways to turn. Most users master it within 5–10 minutes. Speed is adjustable via a dial on the controller, so you can start slow and increase as confidence builds.
Can it navigate tight indoor spaces?
Yes. The35.63-inch (90.5 cm) turning radiusallows it to maneuver through standard doorways, clinic hallways, supermarket aisles, and around furniture at home. The joystick controller provides smooth, precise speed control for indoor navigation.
Can I use it manually if the battery runs out?
Yes. There is amanual freewheel leveron each motor that disengages the drive, allowing the chair to be pushed like a manual wheelchair. Note: with a 13-mile range, running out mid-trip is rare under normal use, but it's good to know the backup is there.
What safety features does it have?
Electromagnetic automatic brakes— the chair stops as soon as you release the joystick. Anti-tip wheels at the rear prevent backward tipping on ramps. The controller includes an emergency stop function. The solid tires mean no flats to worry about.
What's the warranty and return policy?
The chair arrives mostly pre-assembled — you just attach the joystick controller and footrests (10–15 minutes). ZENBON covers manufacturing defects on the frame, motor, and battery under ourWarranty Policy. Returns are accepted within the window specified in ourReturn & Refund Policy. Because it's a large-item delivery, we recommend contacting support first so we can troubleshoot before a return.
